Kindred Spirits Code of Conduct
This listing is written by our members for our members. It is an example of what we expect from ourselves, and the people we game with.
Some entries may repeat, or be common to another. Members write these, and rather than choose one wording over another, we show them all to give a complete picture of the people we are.
DO
- Generosity, share with the guild and your guild mates.
- Be respectful to your fellow guild mates and the people you game with because your behavior reflects on how the guild is viewed by others.
- Have fun above all else. We are a community of people with different goals, but the one we all share is the desire to have a good time.
- Join guild groups, raids/events, and participate on the forums whenever possible. Remember Real Life comes first, and we do understand that.
- Adventure with your guild mates as often as possible. It helps builds camaraderie and a "team" attitude.
- Be kind and helpful to others - both in guild and out. Our impression to the outside gaming community is important to us!
- Be polite on TeamSpeak and/or group chat channels.
- Be considerate of others feelings. If someone asks you to stop a line of ribbing, innuendo, or otherwise, stop and apologize.
- Give people who disconnect/crash in game a minimum of 10 minutes before you begin to look for a replacement for them. First look in guild for said replacement if necessary.
- Keep profanity to a minimum in guild chat.
- Inebriate yourself during game play. (Caution, causes change in gaming experience)
DO NOT
- Ninja (we know pirates are better anyway), or steal items in game (this would include taking a harvesting node in a game out from someone trying to get it).
- Cheat, exploit, or use any game hacks.
- Be greedy! This guild is not about the loot.
- Grief other players or use questionable tactics in PvP.
- Get your panties (or cog piece) in a bunch (or cracked).
- Take things personally.
- Burp directly into the mic. People take sonic damage that way and could lose their hearing.
- Call a quick bio if you are actually planning to sit down. Give a fair warning so people can take their dogs out, or drive to 7-11 for more beer while they are waiting.
- Don't *bleep* excessively, a bleep here and there is OK, but when you start to sound like R2D2 it can be a problem and some people might be offended. Don't feel paranoid if you let a few slip.
This is a guide for members to follow. Violating one probably won't get you booted, unless its a serious offence. Check the Guild Info button for info on Gquitting/Removal.
