Kindred Spirits FAQ
What are FAQ? Frequently asked questions.
Why are they here? Why not?
How many will their be? How many can you think of?
What is a Kindred Spirit? An individual that understands it's only a game. One that gets more enjoyment from helping fellow guild mates and contributing to the community than any personal gain.
How long has KS been around? Kindred Spirits was founded in November of 2005, and officially launched in it's first game (DDO) the following February.
What games does KS participate in? At the time this question is answered: DDO, LotRO, and WoW with perspectives in AoC and HG London. The possibilities are endless.
Who runs the guild? The guild is managed by a combination of founder, guild master, and officers that make up each chapter. Individual chapters follow the same general ideal, and communicate with each other about all functions of the guild.
Why would I want to join? Because you get satisfaction in helping others and being part of a community that enjoys the social aspect of MMO's (Chatting on forum's and in game/voice).
What time zone is this guild? We have members from the east to west coast of North America (and beyond the ocean) that primarily play in the early to late evening hours.
How do I join? Simply follow the apply link on the front page. Read the info and fill out the app. You must be registered on the guild website first.
What events or activities does the guild organize? We enjoy raiding (please note we are not a raiding guild), in game events, creating our own events, working as a team to conquer the game content (scheduled runs).
What do you mean by social or community guild? We enjoy meeting and chatting with fellow gamers that have a similar attitude about gaming. We have an active forum community that discuss the games they play, and anything else they feel like.
How is loot handled by the guild? Loot is not a priority of this guild. Greed is unacceptable by any member. Quote of a member, "A fellow mate getting that epic drop feels the same as me getting it."
What is meant by a Free Trade Agreement? Members may not charge or require a trade in return for items or services rendered. Members may compensate others if they so choose.
How does the guild bank work? A bank is set up in each chapter to allow for contributions and distributions to others in need. Materials/gear is stored for anyone to request that has need of it.
Why is the website a .org? We are an organization and members enjoy posting from work and other places. Having a .org keeps filters from blocking us (usually).
