Thanks for your interest in KS!
Please read our Guild Scrolls first! Ensure this guild sounds like a home to you.
Kindred Spirits requires people to apply for membership within the guild. Some may ask, "Why would a casual guild need applications?" Simply put, being casual doesn't mean we aren't organized. We also consider ourselves more than just a guild, we are a community of gamers. As such, we like to know the people that are joining us.
Applying to the guild:
- Applying to be a member means you are interested in community involvement, and want to be an active member of the community. Community spirit is part of the driving force of this guild. Being able to discuss games, real life, giving feedback on the guild, and participating in the recruiting system is expected.
- Hit the Apply link at the bottom of this document. It’ll auto-format a post for you on our applications board. We are very picky about Applications. If you’re serious about joining Kindred Spirits, your App should be serious as well.
- Applications are on an individual basis. If you are a couple or group, each must register on the site and put in an application seperatley. Please note your affiliation with each other in your app.
- Applications received are moved to a voting board within 24 hours of submission.
- Members vote on whether to accept an Applicant as a recruit (24hr vote).
- A recruiter will contact you on your status through PM’s after the vote; failure to visit the site to receive them may get you removed.
- It can take up to two days to get your response (usually within 24 hours though) about your application, please be patient.
- Once a Recruit, it’s your responsibility to be social, and get to know your fellow guild mates.
- Members discuss experiences with new recruits on a private board for 2 weeks. Upon which a vote is taken to make you a member, extend the recruit period, or deny membership. So don’t be shy.
- Don’t forget to post on the welcome board if accepted!
Being Sponsored:
- Current members may sponsor friends, family, and even other gamers into the guild as a Jr. Member.
- If someone knows you well enough to be sponsored, they can inquire about sponsoring to an officer to find out how.
- Sponsorship is generally done for family members of current members that may not participate within the community as we expect from our members. They just wish to be able to pay within the same guild with each other.
About Members:
- Members participate in the community on a regular basis.
- Attend events/activities when able to.**
- Are helpful and generous.**
- New members are given a good hazing (details elsewhere).
- Each Member may sponsor up to 3 Jr. Members.
About Jr. Member:

- Jr. Members have all the same privileges as a regular member.
- Jr. Members aren’t held to the same community involvement as regular members.
- Jr. Members may become a Member if they wish by submitting a request to the GM of the chapter they play in.
- A Member can revoke his sponsorship at any time, in which case the Jr. Member would be removed unless they: A) Get another sponsor. B) Put in a request to become a member.
