Hacked

So got a couple emails from Blizz this morning @ 5:21 saying my password had been changed and again @ 7:20 saying my accnt had been suspended for "exploiting the economy". I've gotten my battle.net accnt password reset but bow i am waiting on hold w/ blizz support(estimated wait time 50-55 minutes  )  So hopefully nothing was ninja'd from the bank and everything gets back to how it was "soon".

I feel for yah, being that I've been hacked 4x total now since playing MMO's, and 3 of those coming from Aion.  So far I've always been able to get everything back so you shouldn't have a problem there.

thanks for the encouragement. I spent about an hour hold before getting a live person. He was helpful though i didn't appreciate his little "joke" saying i was SOL for all the vendored items, it's a little late for April fool's. Should be back up in a day or so. In the mean time I'm running all manner of scans to check for keyloggers and the like. Definitely buying one of those authenticators now.

well glad you got through to them because I sure haven't heard anything from them on replacing the guild bank items. They are sure being slow on this recovery.

I'm really sorry about all this. After 2 days and no word i called again and the guy i talked to said he could see that the 1st rep had opened a ticket but never submitted it(or something like that). Called again tonight and he said he could see that there was a petition(ticket) in but b/c it is a different department, he couldn't tell me anything about where i was in the queue. Lord willing by the time i get off work tomorrow i'll have heard something and can start pestering GMs to get the guild's and my stuff back.  I'll keep you posted. Already have my accnt switched over to a brand new email/battle.net and an authenticator on the way so hopefully this won't happen again.

I understand the feeling, had a couple people get hacked in the guild in wow I am in. It was a dreadful process for them, ie: spending a lot of time on the phone, faxing proof of ownership of the account ect..  It took them a little over a week to return the items from our guild bank, and his armor and what not. The only thing that really benefited him is they sent him some extra stuff with it all.
So for aion is there a authenticator you can buy for it like wow? I have one for my wow account but just wondering about aion, since its gonna have the same issues....

I was trying to install WoW again and since they use the battlenet thing now I had to create a new account but when I tried to add my authentication keys it said they were already in use.  I don't know if that's some screw up or if someone snagged my keys and are using them now... I've sent a msg to support to see what they have to say about it.

You dont create a new account meeps, ya just merge or upgrade the current one to a battle.net one.

Well it asked me to merge accounts after I created the battlenet account.  That's when it asked for me to add the WoW games and when I tried it said the keys were already in use.  So I'm not sure how else I could've done it.  I had to log in to the site and didn't have any account to do it till I made one.

NM, I saw another link that I missed that was asking for my old account name.. heh I'm not very observant.

I got hacked once in WoW. Its a horrible feeling. But when I called Blizz the guy I talked to was pretty nice .
