Random Asian Goodness
« on: June 07, 2007, 12:21:39 PM »
ATTENTION NEW VIEWERS(UPDATE 1/23/09): Since this thread has grown so long I'm no longer attempting to fix any dead links, but there's a good chance the videos will be posted again in the near future.

Well I figured I mize as well have an area for me to post some Japanese stuff whenever I found something I'd like to share, which generally will be related to j-pop and cute or hot Japanese girls depending on the age. ;)  This thread has some Chinese, Korean and even Indonesian video links, so I changed the title to Random Asian Goodness as it's more accurate.  Before you ask no I don't watch these younger girl groups for some sexual fantasies, I just enjoy the music and find them very fun and adorable to watch.

So let it begin!

Mize as well post the best video ever right off the bat! heh, not really, but it is a video I made myself which is basically a fancy slide show to one of my favorite Morning Musume songs:
Genki+

Ah found the English lesson episode again.. well Eri's part, but no subs:

More to come sometime in the near future... :)

Heh, yeah thats Miki Fujimoto(just left Morning Musume because she was caught having a boyfriend, which is a no-no for a idol group) and Aya Matsuura's(I've posted some videos in the song section from her when she was younger) new group called GAM(Great Aya and Miki).  I shoulda known you'd wanna see a video with a little lesbian feel to it. :P  Oh, I plan on posting more videos, I was just rushed, as I had to goto work.

My former roommate showed me that other video a couple months ago or so, and it's not bad, but it's not Japanese or Asian so against the rules to post it here. :P

Update 10/22/09: Here's the video from GAM that Omni posted, and no as far as I know neither of these girls are lesbians, and in fact Miki is now married:

Some do that's for sure, but too many American girls get plastic surgery themselves these days as well.  What happened to the all natural woman?! I'm not a fan of artificial, at least obvious artificial.  :2vrolijk_08:

Morning Musume meets Hard Gay(a weird celebrity in Japan, check him out) on their morning show in the kindergarten class skit(they often meet Japanese celebrities during this).  The Stage6 one was better by far, but this one still works last I checked.
http://www.veoh.com/videos/e144479PneWSdq6?searchId=7272511331216144881&rank=0

There's lots of Japanese artists that are just like western ones, but I prefer Hello! Project because it's a bit different, and usually more fun and cute than sexy.  If I wanna listen to Western style stuff I'll watch Western groups. :)

Edit:Man these old posts are gonna be pretty sparse with all the old Stage6 links deleted!

Heh, well it's something to look forward to when you get home. :P

An OPV of Miki Fujimoto that covers her entire career, to the appropriate titled Tony Basil song 'Mickey', although I don't think thats Basil singing it.

Aya Matsuura OPV covering all of her videos to the song 'Do You Love Me' by Aya herself. It's probably my favorite song of hers.

A good OPV for Ishikawa Rika with lots of interesting video shots(LOL love the baseball pitch one!): Oh yeah Rika has a fear of chickens, and they have a clip of that in here. I've gotta find the video when she was on Utaban and they made her snag an egg from a chicken cage full of chickens. It was great!

Yes, I know I'm some what obssessed but I can't help it, I just love this stuff. :)  Funny thing is I never really got into any groups and such growing up. No posters on the wall or anything.  Maybe I'm having a late childhood. :P EDIT: Well, I lied, I forgot I was big time into Kiss when I was a kid. Had a shirt, jacket, hat, and even pants with Kiss stuff on them!

Heh I wouldnt say it's all day, unless you're talking about listening to j-pop then it would be pretty much all day on work days.  I love my Ipod. :)  I'm just sharing the thing I love with my online buddies, since it's unlikely you'd ever see these things on TV in the States.   Who knows, maybe these vids will make a fan out of some of you.

I've been following Morning Musume and J-pop since around 2003, so this isn't a new obsession or anything. I think it's here to stay.  :2thumbsup:

Heh someone always asks that.. in Morning Musume the age ranges from 14-22, well 20(Takahashi Ai) now that the 2 oldest left the group to do other things.  Hell, I really enjoy a group called Berryz Koubou that consists of 13-15 year olds, but they started as 10-12 year olds!  They're cute and have wonderful personalities that you can see on the behind the scenes stuff and specials they do, but I like them mainly for their music, which is usually really catchy and fun.  It annoys me when some people assume someone is a pervert or pedophile because they like groups that consist of younger girls(I'm not saying your insinuating that at all William!), but some people on youtube make idiotic comments like that.  Watching young people having fun just brings a smile to my face, and makes me feel almost young again myself. It's hard to explain but listening and watching some of these groups just puts me in a good mood.

Anyway here's some Matrix ping pong!

Bah, lyrics aren't important!  However if you are interested, some of them can be found at: http://www.projecthello.com/momusu/

This is one of my favorite scenes in the Ribbon no Kishi(Princess Knight, although literally Knight of the Ribbon) play that MM members, and a couple very good professional stage actors did: This scene is with Yoshi and Miki of Morning Musume, both have since graduated from Morning Musume, i.e. moved onto solo careers.
Subbed

The play is based off a old Japanese cartoon from the 60's, and a manga from the 50's before that. It starts off a little slow, but gets better as it goes. The mini concert at the end was pretty bad tho, and pretty out of place imho, MM didn't even seem to be trying.   It has a couple really goofy parts that I wish they would've left out, but over all I really enjoyed this play.Highly Recommended!

Doh, I didn't even pay attention to the name! Heya Ahzz, still hanging out here eh? We miss yah bud! :)

This is Aya Ueto, one of the prettiest Japanese girls I've seen.  I first saw her in the movie Azumi, where she played a ninja/assassin, and fell in love.  :sweetheart:  If you haven't seen it you should give it a try.  It's a bit over the top, but has some solid parts in it, plus you get the really pretty Aya kickin ass. :)

A couple pics of Azumi:
